Caledonia Dallas has two long-established offices in Inverness and Elgin, both of which are headed up by Paul Chiffers, who has more than 15 years industry experience.

The Inverness office opened in 1998 as Clark Thomson Insurance Brokers and grew both organically, and through acquisition of four other local insurance brokers – Gillies & Campbell, Anderson & Jarvie, WJ Fraser & Co and Geddes & Associates, before being sold to Jelf, who then became Marsh Commercial in 2018.

In Elgin, Clark Thomson established its business in Moray through the acquisition of two local brokers – Crammond Insurance Consultants in Keith and George S Hay & Co in Elgin in the late 2000s. The two offices merged into one Elgin base around 2011.

TL Dallas acquired the former Marsh Commercial offices in 2024 as part of its expansion into the Highlands and Islands.

The dedicated team at Caledonia Dallas provide a wide range of commercial insurance broking services to businesses operating in numerous industries, including agriculture, hospitality & leisure, construction and motor trade sectors, as well as offering personal insurance and high-net worth insurance to individuals throughout the North of Scotland.

Caledonia Dallas proudly supports Elgin City FC. , Highland Rugby Club and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and it’s also a member of the Inverness Chamber of Commerce.
